Doja Cat bags VMA for best new artist

Doja Cat Doja Cat including her fans can’t contain their joy after the star bags the distinguished PUSH Best New Artist prize at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) on Monday.

She was nominated alongside Roddy Ricch, Summer Walker, Tate McRae, Lewis Capaldi and YUNGBLUD for the award.

Doja who is that the estranged daughter of veteran Yizo Yizo actor, Dumisani Dlamini was also nominated within the Song of the Year and Best Direction categories, but was beaten by Rain on Me from Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for Song of the Year and Taylor Swift for Best Direction.

She has being everywhere the moon as she thanks her fans and followers for being by her side as she urge her viewers to remain safe and said it had “been a very hard year”.

Earlier within the night she thrilled fans with a medley performance of her hit singles Say So and Like That.
